What Volunteers Are Saying About
Royal Family Kids Camps-Arvada 2006-2008
As our outreach week concluded the adult volunteers wrote these thoughts:
Adult Volunteers: How Were You Most Impacted by Your Short-Term Mission Week?
- My heart was literally opened to these hurting children.
- I learned that Children thrive on love and God.
- I saw God's incredible value of innocent children.
- God broke my heart for these kids.
- I actually heard Gods heart beat this week. It was amazing.
- Realizing I can really be a light to others.
- I realized the power of a hurting child's smile.
- I know now God can work in any heart.
- Seeing that not everyone has loving parents.
- If the campers can get through life with a smile, I can too.
- Realizing the importance of God's children to God.
- Being able to see campers not as victims but as God's beautiful children.
- Appreciation for what God has given me.
- The Great Group of people we worked with.
- I discovered that God's love makes a huge difference.
- I was amazed to see Him at work in my campers.
- I've never felt so joyful in my whole life.
How Did God Speak into Your Life This Week?
- I was awakened to God's view of the beauty of children.
- I experienced the true power of prayer.
- God pulled humility out of me this week.
- I gave myself away for a week for the first time. It was wonderful.
- I learned that God is always working, no matter what.
- I realized how good it is to be selflesss.
- I learned to give more when I thought I could go on no longer.
- The necessity of serving God's purposes before mine.
- That God makes our feeble efforts good.
- I learned that kids do not need to be solved but loved.
- Ministry in your own strength is not ministry.
- Directly facing my fears of the unfamiliar and seeing Him be my strength and confidence.
- My outlook on what God views as important was illuminated- A father to the fatherless.
