Thank You for Your Interest in Helping These Hurting Kids in Colorado!

RFKC-Arvada needs mature Christian adults to invest 5 days with these very special children helping them to understand that their future is more important than their past. As a guide or staff member you will be a positive, loving Christian role model. You will experience a full week of outdoor activities, music, drama and a Bible curriculum right along with the campers. Your week at RFKC will be physically exhausting, emotionally draining and perhaps a truly great outreach time as you serve God with a dedicated team. You will experience heartache and frustration over life's mistreatment of vulnerable children. But you will also know that God is using you to make a difference in their lives by giving them positive memories, showing and telling them that they are valuable in God's eyes and providing these campers with a compelling sense of their future. Expect your life to be changed!

Camper Guide
For every Guide willing to spend a week at camp another camper is able to attend. Training is mandatory. Guides arrive at camp a day before the campers to complete training, prepare cabins and welcome the campers as they arrive. Teams of 2 adult Guides are responsible for 4 campers.

Camper Staff
Staff responsibilities include drama, music, teaching, woodshop, t-shirt painting, dress-up, crafts, sports/outdoor activities, and Guide support throughout the week. Staff members have the opportunity to interact with many campers. Training is mandatory.

We Also Need Volunteers Not Attending Camp -- Please Consider:

Volunteer Prayer Support
Be a prayer partner and pray often for both adult volunteers and the campers. Just fill out the Volunteer Interest Form found at the bottom of this page.

Camper Financial Support
You can make a donation or even sponsor a camper with a Campership. Please click on and complete the 'Volunteer Interest Form' link found at the bottom of this page.

Camp Planning & Support
Help with advance camp planning, logistics or training meal support, please contact us.

Camper Registration
Those assisting with registration do not attend camp but are vital in welcoming our campers to this new experience. Many kids are often nervous and frightened and your smiling face will be the first one they see, before they drive up to the camp.

Birthday Party
One evening of the camp week, we celebrate 'every child's birthday' with a party in honor of these young campers. This is 'The Big Event' of our camp week requiring a volunteer crew of 8-10 for the evening. If you love to plan parties this is a wonderful opportunity to be involved. Past parties have included inflated obstacle courses, animal balloons, face painting, dance time, petting zoo, and fun birthday games. Of course there is always cake, ice cream and presents for our special campers! Help is always needed. Birthday party volunteers are a great encouragement to all, coming up to camp to decorate and help all of us celebrate this special evening of the party.

Welcome Home Dinner
After a very exhausting but rewarding week at camp, Staff and Guides are emotionally drained. The 'Welcome Home Dinner' is a catered "thank you" meal for volunteers and their families. It is a time of sharing stories and tears while sharing memories. Volunteers for the dinner organize, serve the meal, decorate/set up, and clean up. Training is not required and it's a wonderful opportunity to be a part of camp without spending the week.

A wonderful experience awaits all volunteer adults from age 18 to 80. If you feel God is leading you to volunteer or if you would like us to provide you more information, please click on the "Volunteer Interest Form" link below, print, complete and mail the form back to us or Email us at: RoyalFamilyCo@Gmail.com
